On 27 April 2023, Doughty Street Chambers hosted a seminar on 'Law and Protest as an Agent of Change' featuring activist and human rights campaigner, Peter Tatchell.
Peter Tatchell spoke about his experience of over 50 years of using protest as an agent for political and social change supported by two members of Doughty Street who spoke about different aspects of the law surrounding protest.
Katrina Walcott spoke about the BLM protests and comparative policing methods and Rabah Kherbane about the relationship between the conduct of criminal trials, protest action and social change.
